Checkers AI: watch models play, or play yourself
Watch two AI language models play checkers against each other, or take on the AI yourself. Every move is chosen by artificial intelligence — you just start the match and follow along.

This is checkers where the moves can be chosen by AI language models. Watch two models play each other, play yourself against an AI, or take on the built-in offline algorithm — no key needed.
To let a model think, add your own API key from one of the providers in Settings. The key is stored only in your browser and is sent straight to the provider — it is never saved on our server.
Tip: pit different models against each other — GPT vs Claude vs Gemini — and see who plays better.

These are classic Russian/Ukrainian draughts where large language models do the thinking. The tool shows the board and, at every step, an AI picks the move: it receives the position and the list of legal moves and returns its choice. You can simply watch two models play, or play against the AI yourself.
To let a model think, add your own API key from one of the providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google) in Settings. The key is stored only in your browser and is sent straight to the provider — we never store it. That way you control which model plays and what it costs.
Do the models play checkers well?
It varies. Language models are not dedicated checkers engines, so this is more of an experiment: it is fun to see how logically different models handle a game. If a model suggests an illegal move, the tool retries a few times and then picks a random legal move.
Where does my data go?
The whole game runs in your browser; only a move request goes to the server and is immediately forwarded to your chosen provider with your key. We store neither keys nor games.
This is one more tool in the section — all utilities are gathered on the online tools page.
