A Ukrainian ↔ English translator powered by the artificial intelligence built into Google Chrome. It runs on your device — your text is not sent to a server. The latest desktop Chrome is required.
This tool uses Chrome’s built-in Translator API and needs the latest desktop Google Chrome. Text is translated on your device — nothing is sent to a server.
This translator runs on the artificial intelligence built into Google Chrome (the Translator API). The language model is downloaded into the browser once, and after that translation between Ukrainian and English happens right on your device — fast, and without sending your text to a server.
Beyond translation itself, the tool can listen to your voice (dictation) and read the translation out loud — handy for quick messages, practising pronunciation, or a live two-language conversation.
Unlike ordinary online translators, your text does not go to a third-party server here: the Chrome model runs locally. Once the language pack has been downloaded, translation is available even without a stable internet connection.
The tool uses a new browser capability, so it needs the latest desktop Google Chrome. Press “Enable translator” — Chrome will download the language pack if needed, and then you can type or dictate text. For dictation and speech the browser will ask for microphone access and use the system voices.
Which browser do I need?
The latest desktop Google Chrome with support for the built-in Translator API. In other browsers the tool will report that translation is unavailable.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. Translation is performed by the Chrome model on your device, so the text is not sent to a third-party server.
Does the translator work offline?
Yes — once the language pack has been downloaded, translation works without a constant internet connection.
This is one more tool in the section — all the utilities are gathered on the online tools page.
